Arnette Pro - 22-09-06

The Arnette pro was on at Queenscliff last week. I went down during my lunch break to take some pictures. The conditions were tiny but that didn't stop them from doing some pretty good stuff.

F.rock Night 3 - 15-09-06

Night 3, the last night of F.rock was on Friday for the general public. $50 per person which included a glass of wine and some food. My camera setup was my Nikon D50 with a borrowed 24-120 3.5-5.6 VR, and a flash, I also had a different position.

One of the supposed "Flight Attendants" who was to usher people about.

These ladies grabbed me and asked for a picture.

These aborigines performed each night doing a dance to some music and a person playing a didgeridoo.
On with the show. My favourite girl again :)












Unfortunately for the lady on the right in the picture below, her top come down just a little to far and exposes part of herself which I captured in another shot, without knowing till I checked the pictures that night :)

F.rock Night 2 - 14-09-06

Night 2 of f.rock, I had a different position and used mostly a 50mm 1.4 without flash. These are my favourite pictures, theses a sense of atmosphere and no annoying shadows caused by the flash, but the depth of field is really small because I was on f1.8 to f/2.2.

The 3 images below were taken with my bosses Canon 20D and 17-85IS with flash.

f.rock - 13-09-06

I got to be one of the photographers for the 2nd f.rock event held at the Steyne Hotel in Manly from the 13th Sep to the 15th Sep. F.rock is a fashion show, the only one on the nothern beaches with models and designers from the area. This was a really good experience for me, I learned a fair bit and got to work with 4 other nice photogs. I had to borrow some lens and a flash from a couple of people though. After the 3 nights I ended up taking about 1200 photos, and I will post about 50 on here. I mostly used a 35-70 2.8 with a flash at around -2,2/3 EV but a few of these pics were taken with a 50mm no flash. I love the 50mm pictures the best.
