Freshy 20-06-06

Last Saturday I ventured into the city to check out some lenes for my D50. Really I was just after the 70-300mm kit lens because I cant afford anything better at the moment. Having looked on the net for pricing the days before I found the lowest price to be in the low $300's. So I started to walk up George St and stopping in at the camera shops, until I got to George's which was only my second stop.

Conversation goes like this.
Me-"How much for the 70-300 kit lens?"
Assistant-"$299"
Me-"Ok thanks" and I started to walk out"
Assistant-" What prices have you been quoted?"
Me-"Well that's the best price so far but im still looking"
Assistant-"What price would you want to pay?"
Me-"Hmm, $250?"
Assistant-"Done"

Well its not much of a saving but its something, and I certainly wasn't expecting him to say yes to $250.

Anyway it wasn't till Thursday till I got to take some proper pictures of people surfing, the main reason for my camera purchase. I went to freshwater beach during my lunch break, from about 12.15pm till 1pm. I am quite happy with the way they turned out. Pictures below.
Looking the goods!
